this endgame could be added to your study series (actually the position reminds me on a study, if I could only remeber which one...). White to play and draw! I just analyzed the position with Stockfish to verify that there is no win ... |

Re: shraavanchess - Won King and Pawn Endgame [8:40] Actually found the draw with 55. Kd3!!. The reason is that white does not waste a move by playing 55. Ke3 and then 56. Kd3. So, the queen exchange was not fatal, but 55. Ke3 was. Black is winning after 55. Ke3. Practically, though, black has an easier time handling this position since his pawns and king are better positioned than white's.
