I've recently been thinking about the idea of humour in chess. It's difficult to describe what causes you to laugh about a chess position, but whatever it is, this problem has it! Really made me chuckle.
Another interesting point (amplified by the fact that you don't tell us if it's to win or to draw), is that one is left wondering, after finding the main idea, whether there will be mate. First you wonder if it's mate on a1, then you realize it isn't and you think hmmm... looks like we could have enough to actually mate here ... and then you realise it can be done with Kh3.
Not a difficult problem but funny and creative. Thanks!
