Re: katar - B vs 2100 my craziest fighting game [48:28] Epic game. Loved the fight you showed after you landed in a tough position fighting your way all the way back to a draw, then even winning at one point, but committing an oversight in time pressure to get a draw.

Re: katar - B vs 2100 my craziest fighting game [48:28] Hey Katar, great video and game! Very impressive moves in time pressure in a complex position against a strong opponent. Lately in my own time pressure games I have blundered pieces and mates left and right so your 40+ moves in a few minutes without any huge mistakes deserves a lot of credit.

I think a lot of my good results in progressing from 1800 to 2000 are attributed to playing with more concentration/focus, not getting too emotional during highs and lows during the game, and being tenacious in difficult positions. These can compensate in my case for a lack of chess skills. :-D See post here: viewtopic.php?p=54714#p54714
Today (14 Dec 2010) Carlsen wheeled out the Chigorin QGD against none other than Kramnik. And Kramnik chose the same system from Palliser's "Play 1.d4" as in this video! 1.d4 d5 2.c4 Nc6 3.Nf3 Bg4 4.Nc3 e6 5.Bf4 but now Carlsen played 5...Bd6 instead of the usual 5...Bb4. GM Shipov: "I’ll note a unique point: the two supergrandmasters have been struggling for two hours already, but only 10 moves have been made on the board.
