As a regular player of the King's Indian Attack, I agree this is a very solid counter system.

I do not like the queen side fianchetto for white, though. Black's system is reactive and solid, so there is no rush to develop the queen's bishop. It is better to focus on getting e4 in. e4 is easier if you have not already played c4, though.

A Solid system. I crave something a little more aggressive. 1.c4 e5 is obviously an option. How about after 1.Nf3? Any thoughts?

1.Nf3 d5 2.g3 Bg4 3.Bg2 c6 4.0-0 Nd7 5. d3 e5 is the Capablanca system. It is more agressive without getting into King's Indian Defense in reverse, but is less solid. It is likely you will have to give up the two bishops with Bxf3 at some point.
