What up peoplessssss!

Been kind of having a "chess hangover" after the Reykjavik Open, lots of chess and commentary and was basically exhausted. But now I am in the UK playing in the 4NCL and couldn't be more excited. Two games over the weekend and I hope I can perform. I really like team competitions and last 2 years in Iceland I am 11/14 only losing to GM Stelios Halkias and beating two IM's, drawing one and drawing a GM so I hope I can keep up with that form. Something about team competition I like you know competing for others as well as yourself, love it.

Out for dinner.

Ecstatic....beat IM Robert Bellin see: http://www.4ncl.co.uk/live_games_rd7.htm tough game but his flag fell on move 40!

And me and my fellow Icelanders got 3.5 out of 4 and the team won 5.5-2.5 and the team, Jutes of Kent qualified for the top 4. Haven't been this happy in ages!

Also ran into Graham Morrison who was kind enough to introduce himself. I knew immediately who he was but wanted to approach him after the game but he was very kind. I didn't see how he did but he was playing black vs a tough opponent in David Smerdon.

Anyway, out to dinner with the team, everybody is super happy that we qualified and I can't describe my feelings ;-) Love doing well in team competitions!

Hey Zibbit, I was playing Trainingbot and happened upon your [Xzibit-Swimmer, ICC blitz 2000] mate in 3. I hope you are doing well sir.

A belated well done!

I was only going to make such a late note because, to be honest, at first I thought you had missed a trick with 6.a3, but after two minutes of fumbling about I realised it's rubbish.
