Hi all, I think keeping a journal is a great idea to improve chess.

I have only recently decided to take chess up again after a break of 6 odd years or so, and I gotta say curtains got me inspired:)
My FIDE rating 6 years ago was 1880 (Age 15), and I have started playing on FICS and Chesscube a bit. I tend to be a bad blitz/bullet player as my opening repetoire needs some work due to my long inactive spell, and those ratings are in the 2100 area atm.

I have played 50 standard FICS games in the past 6 odd months and have managed to boost my rating up to +-2300 if i can recall correctly. I'm aiming to improve my bullet and blitz to a 2300 average rating and Im planning to start playing d4 as white (Ive played e4 all my life, as well as the dragon for black, which I thought was dead untill Magnus came around:))

Oh, and I want to give the Alekhine a shot, stats seems to look pretty good for black. Will see how it goes. Ill keep you all posted.
