Interesting game, and very comical commentary by Brett.
"It still drops a pawn!!... I'm gonna get crushed..." -- now there's something I can relate to!
Both players commented on the time a lot... perhaps playing with a 15-second increment would be helpful.
About the opening, it's a shame that f7 is a bit soft and Re8, Nf8-e6 doesn't quite work. Perhaps the lines with g5 (even some lines after O-O) deserve more attention.

Fantastic!
I love the two perspectives... more instructive than I thought it would be...

Nice kill Josh. Once the e pawn went it was encroaching megadeath.

Re: Dual Commentary - JoshSpecht vs. BKildahl
Im just typing while watching.
When you played Bc4 in the development, there was the possibility of rerouting to b3 where it is still on that f7 diagonal but out the way of threats, is that a good possibility to think of, because I was silently screaming out for Bc4 to play to b3?
Around 12:15 onward I had the idea you had on Bg3 and glad you followed it. I think the f7 exchanges are good for Black. Not sure on that though, I just think the pieces you are giving away look quite good, although you didnt value the bishop on c4 too highly anyway I dont think (struggling with placement etc)
16:00 (ish). Could e5 with a continuation of Bh4 work? Threatens the queen and gets the knight off the square. I wouldnt have traded queens here but what do I know, I'm a low rated player (BlackAdder, I dont always like to trade :P). I'll look through and try to work on quick analysis for improvement (for my learning) but I have a gut feeling that it looks good.
You played a really great game, one of the best I've seen on this site. Well played

Re: Dual Commentary - JoshSpecht vs. BKildahl
there was checkmate after black king moves g8-f7 if white did not check on g7 but on g6. since : 1.Qg6+ Kf8 2.Qg7 checkmate or more probably 1.Qg6+ Ke6 2.f7+ Nf6 3.Qxf6 checkmate

At 23:17 of the first video, where exf6 is played, how would Ne7+ look instead?
