I honestly think such positions (where the "best move" doesn't achieve anything) are mostly unhelpful....
it would have been FAR better had jim found a position where the principle applies AND THAT move wins/draws.
whats worse, is that the analysis is wrong anyway...
why should Bxd3 get a question mark? it draws
although the pawn is of no threat why shouldn't white take it anyway? it draws
why does h3 get an exclamation mark when it is no better than the obvoius alternatives?
I'm sorry, maybe it is because I'm stupid, but, for me to understand a principles I need examples WHERE THE PRINCIPLE CAN BE SEEN WORKING
