 a tactic
This one comes from a 5min blitz game of mine
Both pawns ( b2 and e3) are under attack but white is way ahead in development and has very actively placed pieces. What would you play?
Hidden Text Below - [Show it] - [Hide it Again]
1.Nxf7! and black is toast. The point being if 1. ...Bxh4 then 2.Nxh6+ followed by 3.Rxf8 is checkmate. While if black takes on e3 with check it still doesn't help since his king has no espace from the discovered check.
In the game black actually played 2. ...Qc5?? which looses to?
Hidden Text Below - [Show it] - [Hide it Again]
Yes, exactly! 3.Nxh6++ 3. ...Kh8 4.Rxf8+ 4. ...Bxf8 5.Nf7+ 5. ...Kg8 6.Ng5+ followed by 7.Qxh7 mate.
Well done!

Nice one. It shows how things can go very wrong if you don't develop

Thanks
Yeah, he actually traded one of his only developed pieces by Nbd7-f6-g4-xe3 just to give me an open f file. By the way Phobetor this came from a phillidor's defence

Hehe, is that a threat?
Giving you doubled pawns does look good, but he had to worry about his development too. If he also had that in order (if he didn't get mated) he would have had an advantage with your doubled pawn. But he didn't, so shame on him!

Sort of encouraging you to take up something more active for your 1.d4 1. ...d6 2.e4 move order . Black has to play accurately in the opening and still gets a passive position in the Phill. It just seemed to me like black is a sitting duck in the phillidor, I think someone already said that in this forum
Although I am not sure about exd lines, those might be different
That's why chess is so interesting! His knight manouvere just seemed conceptually wrong to me so I didn't even bother looking at attacks on my pawns and yet a blitz game, so if you are the one attacking that's good, very very good

Doesn't Nxf7 win black a piece? Or are we just looking at it from a blitz standpoint?

lol I see what happened. I started analyzing the second answer , you know, the one where the queen had switched positions.

 Re: a tactic
Very nice. You must be proud! What's your rating? Here is one from a game of myen, it accured from a french defence. Can you workout the entire combination? It's Black to move and win!

 Re: a tactic
Rxg2+! Kh1 (Kxg7 Qxh4) Qxh4 Nxh4 Rxf2+ Kg8 Rg2++ Kh1 Rxe2+ Rf3 Bxf3# Not too hard to find once you said 'combination' which made me look for sacs. The poorly defended white queen is the reason for the success for the black attack.

 Re: a tactic
There is an even prettier line Hidden Text Below - [Show it] - [Hide it Again] Rxg2+ Kh1 Qxh4 Nxh4 Rg1++ Kxg1 Rg8+ Ng2 Rxg2+ Kh1 Rxf2+ Kg1 Rg2++ Kh1 Rg1#  Although through gooeyjim's move order it's faster if instead of Rxe2+ black would go Rg1#
