Hey thanks for the video mate. Is there any chance you could post your game against Baburin from Bunratty?

Thanks for the video

It seems black played too passively, that's usually fatal in the benoni. Nice build up on your part :thumleft:

:D Nice game. When I was at Bunratty I liked the way the bar opened at the start of the first round and when we finished playing blitz in the bar before the pocker started! Did you play my friend Steve Manion from Scotland. A really nice chap. One of the best and a creative player to boot. He's enthusiastic to look over the game of the lowliest player.

I liked how you played completely positionally until his knights were misplaced followed by the Q sort of pinning move and then e5! As you said you waited with a solid position until your opponent started to run out of ideas. I liked it a lot.

I liked the kingside play. It's something I am not entirely comfortable with yet, and I feel like I learned a lot. I'm much more comfortable with Queenside and playing for the center. Also, I liked the Queen move a5 that prohibited the knights from moving (and brought more pieces over there as well).

Your notion of just "playing solid" is really helpful to me, and I can see myself improving in the past few games I've played because of it. Today I was playing online and I was talking outloud, trying to think like you, heheh. Well, it worked and I won! My opponent wasn't anywhere near as good as the opponents you play though.

Thanks again. I'm really enjoying all these videos I haven't seen.
