:salut: :viking:

Funny, entertaining, instructive-- this series is legendary, as good as anything out there.

I liked the swirling knight move.

Yeah, I really like this. It is at a pace where I can be like yeah, I understand this pattern, I will remember it. Whereas some videos, like watching curtains play live or something he explains some line like 6 moves deep and I'm like, "what?". But I can really see these kinds of things. I really like this forced queen for for profit thing though. was that petrosians move?

Superb. I've done a lot of Anthology of chess-combinations so I can find the answers, but with these pattern reckognision videos it just sticks so much better inside the head. Invaluable information!

Thanks for this series about patterns.
To present material this way is definitely the best way. To repeat a specfic pattern and, very important, to tag it with a name is the best one can do in teaching something. This is a result of many scientific studies which dealed with memory/ recognition and this kind of things.
Thanks to your work!

I'm showing my amateur's colors here. In the full game (QGD, about 12:30 in the video), I was stunned that the point of White's combination was NOT to achieve checkmate. He plays the combination to win a pawn, double black's pawns, and get a winning endgame. I would never have looked at a pattern like that if it didn't end in mate. Thanks a lot for including that example.

Secondly, I'd like to thank you for providing so many entertaining examples of the same pattern in a row. The key to education is repetition. I'm proud that on the example after the one I just mentioned, I was able to find the right move order immediately. Thanks for being a good teacher.

Erm..... I didn't leave feedback but I did watch it!

It was another killer video, and I can't wait for #5. Nice to see you on chessvideos, Zibbit. If I hadn't seen you in the next couple of days, I planned on sending you a PM to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years :D

Thanks again for all the videos this past year, they're so good it's probably been more enjoyable to watch your videos than to even play chess.
