Glad you posted another video. I am learning a lot from your positional style. Too bad a championship has to be played at a Sudden-Death time control, I have always been against that. Maybe a weekend Swiss, that's different.

You once mentioned it was neat how I used the term 'Lawn Mower' for the rooks. I have seen the set-up you played, with the queen behind the two rooks on a file as 'Alekhine's Big Gun', thought I cannot recall him ever playing it. I didn't know if you were aware of this, but again it paints a visual for a student, like the Boden's Mate, Legal's Mate, Lawn Mower etc.

It was a nice technique to triangulate with your king in the middle game, not often seen. But as you said, the king would have been better on f7, maybe you could triangulate to f7 in the same manner so the the knight is on d4 at the appropriate time for the e5 push.

Nice bishop sac in the ending, I had one similar to that, now I want to see if in can dig it up from my score sheets.

Sorry you didn't get the point, especially considering the tournament standings. Looking forward to more when you have the time.

Very instructive game. Too bad you did not win.
Drawns like this feels like loses, at least too me.

This game has some resemblance to some games with Lasker or Capablanca. They had an advantage and their opponents (weaker ones) just let them improve the position without trying for counterplay.

I have not meet 2.Nc3 in longer games often, but in blitz it is fairly frequent (and annoying :) ). I am happy that you posted this video and I think I learn (and confirmed old knowledge) alot.

I would have given this video 5 out of 5, but the rating of videos seems not to function at the moment.

See you around/Bayes
