Ty Dennis I know it's off topic but I still remember your video "my craziest game ever played" or something like that which I love so much. I have never forgotten the opening position and I have used it with great success in blitz practize, the schock-value is enormous and all i have played it against hast lost in a terrible ways!! ty The opening was when I played it in blitz(as white) e4e5 f4d6 (kgd fischer variation?) nf3nc6 d4bg4 d5nd4 nxd4?! your suggestion! bxd1 bb5+! And the result? Ive crushed all in this variation!! thx Dennis for this opening schocker! Is there maybe a way for white to get this position in other ways or openings so that 1 increases the chance of reaching the "Dennis heaven" ?

So I wish Dennis u could post something in the same manner -some dubious but still very "potent" opening variation with lets say 2 pieces for the queen and tactical resources or something else for that matter, maybe something from your blitzgames? Imbalanced positions out of the opening is what I like! U could once again take your scholastic hat off and post something not so serious but exciting like that? Maybe u dont wanna give all your opening schockers away? ty gunnar samuelson gothenborg sweden.

Super attacking, tactical chess! The opening theory really does daunt me though!

Nice show!
Was it possible although in the Kings Gambit game at 26:25 after a4 to play Bxf7+ and hxg6 destroying the kings position?

 Re: Dennis M: Attack! More Viewer Games, October 2010 [53:06
Thanks Dennis, I appreciate the analysis of my game. Normally I like to enter into sharp positions, but I wasn't at all familiar with the Nxd4 move so I was very hesitant to take the e5 pawn, since it looked a bit dangerous, and even though I usually like sharp positions, that's only when I have some idea about what's going on. As you showed black had excellent play in all variations, but at the time it looked very hard to calculate everything over the board, and after seeing your variations, I'm certain I wouldn't have seen all that only being a class A player.
I agree that Qd7 was slow, but I didn't realize I had to be so urgent since it looked to me that white had no quick way out of his situation. Of course I saw Qh4 but after Qh2 I didnt see what I accomplished, but I definitely should have looked further.
This definitely wasn't my best played game, but considering the opening I was very happy with my position in the middlegame. Unfortunately I blundered the game away, but it was still exciting.

@Krumow: Sure, Bxf7+ is good, though hxg6 might be even better. It's not that White is hurting for good moves; I was just suggesting ...a4 as a way for Black to try to make the game messier, so he doesn't just get steamrolled. (Btw, it's technically not a King's Gambit, though it doesn't hurt to think of it that way.)

Yes, that was a messy game! But todays Anand-Carlsen game is even better!

At 18:38 (after ...Bg3) can't White play Qb4+ ? So (therefore) isn't ...Bh2+ the right move? Or have I missed something?

 Re: Dennis M: Attack! More Viewer Games, October 2010 [53:06
@mleonard: 25...Bh2+ is definitely simpler, but 25...Bg3 works too: 26.Qb4+ Qxb4 27.cxb4 and the neat trick 27...Bh2+! (rather than 27...Bxf2+) 28.Kf1 Be5. Black is handily winning after 29.Ke1 Bg3 or 29.Kg1 Bd4.

6:42 What about the simple idea Bh3? It is winning: 1...Bh3 2.Qxe4 Rf4 followed by Rg4

@ kdyehs: I wouldn't say it's better than 19...Bd5 followed by ...e3, or even than 19...Rxf2 followed up correctly, but your suggestion is both good and - very importantly for practical play - simple.
