I love the Halloween gambit. Great fun for blitz. I bet there's a lot of analysis of it on the internet somewhere. I'm curious what black's best plan is.

Also, I've always known it as the Halloween gambit.

Nice combination with 11.Nxc7+! I was hoping you would somehow get in Qxf7. Very nice double knight sacrifice.

In the opening though, I'm not sure about 9.Nd5. I'm not sure I've calculated correctly, but I think black can get away with 9...Nxd4, which is really annoying.

Anyways, I'm glad you posted about the Halloween gambit. I'd completely forgotten about this really fun opening.

I first seen this opening when I watched a lecture by GM Jessie Kraii on chesslecture.com. I think, if I remember right, is to just give the peice back and try and not hold on to the material advantage.

I'm pretty sure this was a 2 minute game or less.
