The white pawns remind me of a classical stonewall - set up with the difference, that you usually put the c-pawn to c3 and the queens-knight on d2. Don't know if that makes a difference strategically, because e4 is overprotected anyway. Normally it is very risky for black to castle kingside in stonewall-type positions.

-Nc3 doesn't fit well in with the f4/e3/d4 setup
-Bd2 looks like kind of a pointless move
-Bxg6 sacrifice looks a little bit unsound. How you followed up with h6 should have been simply game over. You have no open lines and no way to attack the king. Black should just have played ...Bf8 and you have no way of continuing the attack, not enough pieces and king is perfectly safe on h8.
- Even after the horrible ...Bh8 and ...Kg7 black can still just keep a safe extra piece and run with the king g7-f8-e8 if you try to exchange f5 knight and make a check on h6.

Not to be all negative you did realize what to do and had a clear plan, to use the stonewall setup of d4/e3/f4 to start a kingside pawn attack. Although you didn't execute it perfectly and your opponent was a little too cooperative you superior planning was what won you the game.

And for the record 1.f4 is a nice little way to escape theory now and then and just have an interestin game of chess.

Thanks Zibbit. I didn't take your comments as negative at all. Just the fact that a fide master looked over my game is pretty great.
