Good video...nice intro and I'd like to see where you are going with this. We have to get your background noise fixed somehow though!

Thanks for the comments btw guys. I hope someone else wakes up though who knows how to solve this noise thing. The video is perhaps still viewable, but ewww... it's annoying. Just going to stall my second installment for a while therefore, which would have been much more fun ofcours, cause it's not going to be a dry talk about basic stuff.

Hi RAU4ever,
I don't know what kind of setup or mic you have, but your sound problem sounds like fan noise. This often happens with lower quality mics esp laptop built in mics. I have come across this problem with desktops too where the fan caused the table top to vibrate, which the mic pick-up interpreted as noise (since sound is just vibrations anyway). You should consider getting an inexpensive headset w/ mic for doing your recordings. Newegg has several options in the $10-$15 price range. I bought one and it works great (though the ear piece is on the small side). Having the mic close to your mouth helps keep out other extraneous noises while keeping your hands free. Before shelling out money, try a few test recordings where you pick up and hold your mic in your hand, it should give you a pretty clear idea.

Good Luck!
BigRed

Thanks for trying to help out BigRed. The problem is that I'm using exactly what you describe :|. I'm going to try it out on a desktopcomputer soon though, perhaps it's the soundcard of my laptop that makes it bad?
