Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less Black played what looks like an extended crab claw formation, and was no doubt pretty happy before the Nxf7 giant foot stood on him. A good case for staying in your shell during the opening stages.

I was happy to play 17.Nh5! in a 3/0 blitz game. I did miss the unusual 11.c5! when the threat of a2-a3 amazingly wins a piece. In Exchange Winawer i think that the "nonconformist move" Qxd5 is not so good for Black.

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less @Enterprise- Yay, another Ulvestad victory- Nd6? - who cares- it was a win, dammit!  @Andrewrun- Yay another Smith-Morra win. I really like the way you handle the opening. Bd5! was a shocker to me. The finish with the queen sac was very nice and I was shocked to see it was a 1 0 game.

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less My first game with the mighty Fred opening. This opening is utterly ridiculous but it wins games from White players who foolishly assume they can checkmate Black right out of the gate. The key for White is to develop normally then attack Black's weakened king position. Oddly enough, Black tends to prevail against premature attacks. I'll be doing a Coffeehouse Chess Openings video on this line soon.
