Post naggin about this site
Hi all,
Risking to be called a permanent nagger, there are some points I have been thinking about lately:

 I think it would make sense to change the board structure. New folders that should be created:
Opening analysis for me the right place to include Katar's e5 for black series, Gambit player's series on kings indian and Najdorf and the rest of the
opening videos that now get lost in the Intermediate or Advanced Chess Strategy Videos folder
Instructional Videos or Lectures or whatever. That could be the place for Zibbit's "Pattern recognition" series and similar videos that have a Topic and are not a
pure game analysis. Btw this category is really lacking new videos.

The endgame videos folder could be structured into subfolders like basic, intermediate, advanced and maybe exercises (if there are some).
Such a structure would be easier to browse imo. If somebody has the time and knowledge, it would also be a great accomplishment to have the positions from the videos directly linked to the Endgame simulator! Or as FEN-file for offline practicing.

 There has been a discussion on the site's future some time ago (http://www.chessvideos.tv/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=10821&hilit=headed&start=0) and personally I feel that the situation hasn't changed at all. The site gets more and more members (1000 new since the above discussion), but there is not much activity, just look at the number of posts/day and concerning videos the site could change it's name to "curtain's chessvideos.tv"
as it seems he does 90% of the videos posted.
In the above discussion there have already been some suggestions, but maybe someone has others?!

 Many members upload their videos also on Youtube, so if there are no changes this site will be superfluous sooner or later....

 Maybe the "Viewer Questions" should be re-activated? I would even be willing to take the endgame questions part or maybe the middlegame stuff, but there should be one or two others joining this.
 Still, my favorite feature would be something like interactive sessions, e.g. going together over a set of positions or a game on this site with voice and board and having that as a video later...
 Last but not least, the starting page should be updated more often

EDIT: I would also like to have the true numbers for my views of my videos, instead of the number of clicks!

There is an "Endgame" section
viewforum.php?f=12
but there should be also an opening section, definitely.

I would like the ability to add "tags" to videos. This feature formerly existed but was discontinued. (??)

There is a lot of good content here at CV.tv -- in general the quality of videos at CV.tv is IMO better than at Youtube but there are several Youtube channels with pro-quality content like STLchessclub, Chessnetwork, kingscrusher, ymchessmaster, powerplaychess , chessexplained (and i'm sure there are more)

Ultimately the best thing people can do is to rate and leave comments. Even if it is only "Thanks for the video." Showing some appreciation is the only thing that will encourage volunteers to continue posting... e.g, zeitnotakrobat, firepowah and the more established people like zibbit , kamus and sfarmer29 . I will also mention that i don't think a high rating is necessary to make a very very good video.

Also i would like to see the "parents" of the site JoshSpecht and Admin participate from time to time.
