Nice game, those b/g pawn sacrifices to the queen are tricky when the rooks are connected.

Because it improved his position- bishop became aggressively posted and he saw that he would recover his piece by the pawn fork, it also happens to defend against the threat of mate on f7 :)

it felt like white was going to have a better endgame if we get there, the ruy exchange-ish setup so I was very happy when she took the g pawn.

why 9. be6? I don't know, it looked like the best move. I'm losing my knight or getting myself mated if I don't do anything aggressive..

white played too carelessly.The mortal end could be seen easily from g2 spuare
