I think I lose like 3-5% of my games in this completely humiliating manner (yes, I'm really bad at blitz), while this is like the first in a thousand for you.. so don't despair! And kudos for not wimping out and posting the game, I'm sure I wouldn't have :)

It is less about the result, and more about the emotion. While almost all videos will have some level of educational value, the ones with drama are far more entertaining.

The moments after the game where you are talking softly...you can just feel the pain and anger. It is good stuff.

Ironically, i think he may have played more poorly in this series of games because he seemed mentally focused more on entertaining the audience rather than on the game itself.

Same thing can happen OTB if a player is not "focused" on the game at hand. Josh Waitzkin commented a game in Chessmaster where he won a piece out of the opening. Then he started daydreaming about finishing early to see his girlfriend. So, he dropped a piece and had to fight on for another 4 hours.

So the post-mortem about lackadaisical play strikes me as very perceptive.

I guess it doesn't take much for us to get on your hate list... because you said you hate us and we never did anything bad to you.
I don't know how you can react like this, how you get very very angry after every game you lose... if I were you I would quit chess.
But we don't hate you as you provide us with hours of entertainment

Ya know, curtains has given us all these videos to chess videos tv.com that seem to put smiles on everyones faces; so maybe we of chessvideos should give back to him by feeling a bit empathetic for curtains and forget this even exists.

I for one think that they dont need to be as entertaining as possible. Hell, sitting there watching the live games and trying to think of stuff you might do is quite enough for me.

I for one approve your idea of cutting back on some of the entertainment to improve your own game; after all you deserve our positive consent after all you have done for the master hangout and chessvideos!
