this time i got it in about 60 seconds  do u guys eventually memorize it or do u have to think a little while sometimes? What im doing right now is using the fact that that a1 is black and h1 is white

o yea! I got 32 seconds for the speed color quiz  Does memorizing squares actually help calculate? It's hard to believe if its true

instead of using CTS, ive been using chess tempo the last couple of days. Im using the standard feature so its more like a long game where i can think through the whole variation before playing all the moves. The downside of chesstempo is the problem thats bugging me right now. I always run into problems that have like 5 possible mates but 1 is a move faster than the rest... pisses me off

I was taking over two minutes to do the square color quiz when I started a week or two ago. Now I'm usually under fifty seconds. I'm not sure I'm approaching it the right way, though. I do some squares by whether they're odd or even. Like the c file odd numbers are black.

im going to the High School Nationals in two weeks so ill be preparing for that. Im still doing chesstempo problems (standard). My rating on chesstempo is 1800

came back from the K12 nationals in Atlanta. I scored 3/7 in the open section and got a performance rating of about 1650. My rating jumped about 70 points so my USCF is up to 1499. I havent done any chess since i got back, but I got my chesstempo up to 1900

im starting to use Chess Tactics Server again. I seem to like the problem set a lot more. I wish they had a standard feature though... o well

im doing pretty well. I got my CTS to 1600! I also played in a USCF quick rated tournament on world chess live for the first time and inceased my USCF quick rating 200 points! It's now 1526! That's higher than my standard USCF rating

i'm now starting to do some live broadcasts of my 5 min games so go check them out! I got my 5 min ICC rating almost up to 1600. I think last week i was only around 1450 so i jumped pretty high this week!

i havent updated this in a while. My USCF quick is now 1634  my USCF standard is still 1499. I need to get back into regular tournament games

i finally went to a chessclub about 20 minutes from my house and played in a 4 round tournament and guess what... i won all four games. I played two 1400s and two 1500s and my rating jumped 102 points to 1601
