Re: Analysis of USCL GOTYs #9 and #8 [53:59] Maybe instead of c5, black should take time to play Rfe8 or Rfd8, in order to have Bf8. With the rook on e8 maybe even f5 -e5 etc... will possible down the road.

That's a good thought, trying to avoid the chronic weakness that resulted from 15...c5 (in the Friedel-Serper game), but after 15...Rfe8 16.Qg4 Bf8 17.Nc5! looks fairly miserable for Black.
