In the last example, how does white continue after 1. Rc1 Be2 2. Re1 Rd2 ?

1.Rc1!

The best move

After 1...Ba6 comes 2.Re1! and mate is inevitable.

If however 1..Be2 to try and stop the threat of Re1-e8 with mate, we however switch gears and go 2.Rc8+ followed by 3.Re8+ and winning the bishop on e2. So the threat of the Arabic mate and knowing the pattern forces black into the defence 1...Be2 which is flawed because it simply loses the bishop.
Is that a serious comment or a smart-ass comment?
First of all, I don't know why you think it would be a smart-ass comment. In the video, you suggest Re1 as a response to Be2 because you say the attack on the bishop forces black to move it again to a6, with mate following. But moving the bishop isn't forced. It can be protected by putting the rook on d2. I might be missing something, but it doesn't seem obvious enough to warrant your comment.

Second of all, this is in the Beginner Chess Strategy Videos forum. I am a beginner. You should assume many of the viewers of your videos here are beginners. Things that might seem obvious to you are not immediately obvious to a beginner. There is no call for you to be rude, dismissive, or insulting.

Zibbit, thanks for answering my question. Your reply was very helpful.
