i think tacto had an advantage near the middle/end game because he had more space to attack on the queen side. it was an interesting game though and you incorporated nice video making skills.

To me, it looks like 17. a3 is the move that gets you in trouble KingsBlade. It creates a lot of light-square weaknesses on your queenside and you get a backwards B-pawn. Maybe white should play Rc1, putting a rook opposite of the black queen. Which rook though?

Any thoughts on the position after move 16 anyone? What should white's plan be here? (It's the position at 4:10 in the video.)

You had a lot of interesting views. I mentioned in my video that I disliekd Ne7 and then said its still ok. But it does give you a lot of play like you mentioned and thus was a VERY bad move.

Though I still think after a move like b3 white has more weaknesses than black. But you could definitely have held on becuase the Knight on c4 would block my rooks out. Good work man, I totally missed that...

ThereIsNoFork, the move a3 isn't a losing move. KingsBlade made no real "losing" move but he did make some bad decisions, which added together, caused the loss.

a3 is just a bit too soon becuase he gets a backwards pawn in some variations but it does prepare to meet the minority attack.

Like KingsBlade said, it's a prophylactic move, but I think it should be played JUST before white plays b4. Once black plays Rb1 he is preparing b4 so thats when I think it's best.

Also ThereIsNoFork, BruceWallace in his video recommends 17. Ne5. I think this is a good plan. Centralizing his pieces.


KingsBlade I think you can learn a lot from the games we played. I think you should have played more actively in both. You only reacted to my moves.
