Re: curtains - L220: B vs Thoth-returns [11:24] Thought I mentioned it on one of my videos. A chessplayer I know who knew this 2+2er admitted it to me after I insisted that my opponent was cheating. He told me the guy was 2200 irl but I told him that theres no way this guy wasn't cheating, especially if he was really just 2200...so he fessed up and told me he was actually a 2+2er rated like 1000, and I thought he told me it was cowpig but really I could be wrong, so forgive me if am making a false accusation! I definitely definitely could have gotten the handle wrong.

And if it's some random group of people they would probably tear you down before they would build you up.  Just IGNORE them and do what you want. I'm sure you needed me to tell you all this. :p

As like with icc (i think), you don't need to pay for an account since you are a IM title and titled players are allowed to play for free. You can though just try it for a month free without proving that you are an IM just to see if you like the server. The interface in my opinion is way better. if you want to try it, the site to download it is playchess.com and you download the free client there.

So I think there is a mix up.

In fact ICC is much worse in user interface.. i mean who wants to keep entering commands to do everything.. its ludicrous. so curtains if you think you can get as high a rating on playchess as you can on icc in 5 min games i tend to strongly doubt that. Although on playchess 5 min isn't given its own separate category but just included with blitz rating... if playchess had all the same players play that play on icc playchess would be better in every aspect. i think most would agree

Re: curtains - L220: B vs Thoth-returns [11:24] well there doesn't have to be a problem for it to not be as good as playchess. im sure it won't kill you to even play one game on playchess to see the difference for yourself. infact you don't even need to download anything to try because you can go to playchess thru chessbase 9 help->online upgrade and create a new account and give it a shot.
