Great result Bruce!! Opening was fine and indeed nothing wrong with the symmetrical English. Liked how you kept your cool even after the small blunder of the h6-pawn and recovered. This also shows that if you know what you are doing in an opening you can give higher rated players big problems to solve!

Thx guys. Just to say that the score in this simul was 18.5 to 0.5. I was the only player not to lose. I was very proud of this game given that 1900 and 2000 players were going down in flames around me.

Thx Mark. I think one of the things about playing stronger players is that you treat them with too much respect and play passively. This just gets crushed or you play wildly with what looks like aggressive moves that just create weaknesses. This gets crushed. I think it has to be about playing the position on the board.
I've got a good game going against Zibbit on chess.com. I've sacked a Bishop for an attack. Now I don't think it's winning but I think I have a draw for the sacrificed material but I don't want to talk up the result too soon. Without the sac I think I would have been gradually crushed.
Aye play the board not the man, or woman for that matter.
