Hey KB, nice game, you didn't let up, and took it to hiim. Like all of us, you probably missed some tactics, but you came away with the full point. The only thing I noticed, is you took a lot of time thinking about that possible Bishop sac, when I don't think there was any real threat. You had all your pieces developed, and his queenside was at home, so you had the defence, and he was only bringing two pieces to the attack. Say you give black an extra move before you played Nh2...If he plays Bxh3, and then Qg6, you play Kh2, and what does he do to keep the pressure up before you can bring in more defence? Sounds like a free Bishop to me. And, if he plays Qg6 first, Nh4 looks really nasty, hits the queen, and most of your pawns and pieces control the kingside, so she could pretty much only retreat, and then you probably wint the Knight on h5 with a discovery by your queen. I know those positions are scary, and I get burned on them all the time, but I thinnk based on your overwhelming force in the area, you were fine.

I'm thinking that's a better way to analyze that type of threat, anybody else? Maybe if the Knight was on f4 or a square, where he could check the king on the h file is when it's worse. I'd appreciate another weigh in on that.

Ye I agree with gideon, when black played Nh5 and Qf6 these just seemed like ghost threats to me. you had the better position for sure. but you reacted with Nh2 to which also looked bad. The weird thing is at this I cant tell you why Nh2 is bad it just looks un natural.

I thought 15 axb5 looked nice since he can't recapture.
