chesstempo rating is up to 2250! my 5 min rating is almost where it used to be. It's 1500 at the moment. Want to get it back to 1600

 Re: ccmolitoris's training journal
i just moved in to college 3 days ago and have been so busy that i haven't been able to play any chess since then. I've done a couple chesstempo problems but thats it. It'll be hard to keep playing chess but ill try and find a way

 Re: ccmolitoris's training journal
What is funny is anyone can get a high rating in a tactics site like that if they do it enough. You need to learn to attack too. They are related, but the learning of the two are different. You can perform the tactic when you get to it, but how to you produce a combo? or how do you set up the combo or tactic. How do you get to the position? does it just appear? Not at higher levels... I don't believe in chess puzzles as the only way to study tactics. Nice that you made it to 2200.

 Re: ccmolitoris's training journal
thx guys. i've been doing pretty bad at CT lately. I'm not as patient as i once was and i solve them now in like 3 minutes, about 5 minutes less than i usually do. The thing with chesstempo is that there is no time limit. So basically anyone can solve any problem if they put the time in
