Ok, so now only a third of the video has been uploaded. I don't know what the problem is....

Very nice analysis. Some of your opening variations looked interesting.
Btw, I have no idea about the closed sicilian, I just make up my mind otb what to play against the sicilian. Depends on my mood^^.Ok, I try to make it my main opening against the sicilian but I havent dealt with any theory so far. So, I was really interested in how you commented the opening.

I had to smile a bit when you said h4 wasnt good because I think so too (as did everybody who
looked at the game afterwards). Funnily it turned out later that h4 was quite a useful move, because suddenly I was able to launch an attack thanks to it =)...delayed effect so to speak^^

The idea behind Qh6->Qg5 was to threaten Qf6 (blocking the f7 pawn) followed by h6, with mate to follow.I think black has to be careful after Qg5. Thats why black played Qc3 - keeping the white queen out of f6.

It was so painful seeing you play Rxh7. I calculated it during the game but totally messed up.
I was sure it mates after Kxh7 but when I started to look at "K does not take" I sort of got distracted by black's option to just take the rook on a1 and somehow I immediately stopped looking at it - wtf! Still can't believe my mind tricked me :P

Hmm, Rab1 in the endgame looks better indeed.
Nice endgame analysis anyway. =)
Btw, Ke7 was played with a draw offer. ...h5 and Kf6 didnt happen anymore. I was considering e7 instead of Ke7 and I was thinking that this might even be losing, so I played Ke7 and offered a draw, as he only had 5 minutes left.

In the post-game analysis we also thought that after ...Ra3 white would win after g4 (not giving the pawn immediately). But I didn't check with Fritz, so good to know it's only a draw too.
Ke8 winning..yea, yea...seems it does :)

Loved the "bathtub" *g*. Didnt know that expression.
And, yes, it was one of my quiter games, but my first "serious" one in the closed sicilian.

Thx for the analysis :)

Nice that you liked the analysis.

If you got troubles, calculating sacrifices like Rxh7, I think it's usefull to look at all the posibilities seperately, and when you calculate a line which wins, make a mental note and don't look at the move anymore. Once you've had al the possibilities, you can check it all again, but don't do that while calculating other variations, as they'll get mixed up. If you think structured, that chance that you mix up decreases and the chance that you correctly calculate Rxh7 increases.

I'm must have played h5 and Kf6 in the analysis and then Fritz thought they were move of the main game.
