Funny, entertaining, instructive-- this series is legendary, as good as anything out there. I liked the swirling knight move.

 Re: Zibbit - Pattern recognition #4 [33:29]
Yeah, I really like this. It is at a pace where I can be like yeah, I understand this pattern, I will remember it. Whereas some videos, like watching curtains play live or something he explains some line like 6 moves deep and I'm like, "what?". But I can really see these kinds of things. I really like this forced queen for for profit thing though. was that petrosians move?

Superb. I've done a lot of Anthology of chess-combinations so I can find the answers, but with these pattern reckognision videos it just sticks so much better inside the head. Invaluable information!

 Re: Zibbit - Pattern recognition #4 [33:29]
Thanks for this series about patterns. To present material this way is definitely the best way. To repeat a specfic pattern and, very important, to tag it with a name is the best one can do in teaching something. This is a result of many scientific studies which dealed with memory/ recognition and this kind of things. Thanks to your work!

 Re: Zibbit - Pattern recognition #4 [33:29]
I'm showing my amateur's colors here. In the full game (QGD, about 12:30 in the video), I was stunned that the point of White's combination was NOT to achieve checkmate. He plays the combination to win a pawn, double black's pawns, and get a winning endgame. I would never have looked at a pattern like that if it didn't end in mate. Thanks a lot for including that example.
Secondly, I'd like to thank you for providing so many entertaining examples of the same pattern in a row. The key to education is repetition. I'm proud that on the example after the one I just mentioned, I was able to find the right move order immediately. Thanks for being a good teacher.

Erm..... I didn't leave feedback but I did watch it! It was another killer video, and I can't wait for #5. Nice to see you on chessvideos, Zibbit. If I hadn't seen you in the next couple of days, I planned on sending you a PM to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Years Thanks again for all the videos this past year, they're so good it's probably been more enjoyable to watch your videos than to even play chess.
