Well presented  Nice game by your friend

" Women tend to be materialistic" that's a very interesting point!

Nice game. Remind me never to play poker with you! Seriously, it's good to see someone use the bluff in a chess game, it is part of the game, the psychology that makes chess worth playing. But there is also a time and a place for such bluffs, you used it correctly in my opinion.

It is strange and fascinating phenomenon - to for a brief second of time to feel you understand how other person ticks or will react.

Thanks for the game!

I have not looked at any videos lately because I decided to spend my time on improving my play instead.
Today I just going to enjoy chess for fun.

Thanks for the shout-outs :D .

I think this video is quite telling about the Nimzo.def. Because of it's rare appearance at grandmaster level,
it is a highly unpredictable opening (meaning, not much theory. Anything can happen). For this reason, my enthusiasm for the opening has faded.
Just as for you (?). You mentioned in a video that it was difficult to play against stronger opponents.
I stick to the Alekhine defence now days instead.

Improvements? Well, I agree about Bg4, instead of Bf5. The improvement you showed in the video.
Or maybe somethings in line of game 16 (in the book, Bd7 plan)? But it seems just a little passive.
As you see, I would not have liked to be in your shoes and having to find the solution over the board.

Thanks again and I be seeing you around.

Bayes
(If your in for statistics, you know about Bayes theorem and Bayesian statistics (which let you incorparate prior information in your statistical analysis.)).

:D Nice vid Ingvar. It's good to see that even 1700 players can pose strong players problems.

Hi once again Steve and thanks for noticing ;-)

Psychology is more important in chess than people might think. This kind of a bluff is just one aspect of chess psychology. Many people have said that at the height of G.Kasparovs chess career (well he was on the top for a pretty long time) he pulled of many bluffs. Point is that he was so well known for his thorough preparation that at times he could probably offer poisoned pawns in sharp lines and people would be to afraid to enter such lines because of who they were playing.

Other aspects like knowing your opponent, what kind of lines or position he likes to play or doesn't like to play also are part of this psychology of chess along with many other things of course!
