PS: The sound is not perfect for parts of the video, and we will fix that for future videos.

Awesome video! Thanks!!!

I have a question though. At about 16:40 after ...Bf6 he talks about Rd1 being an option, but doesn't that lose to Bxd1? I feel like I'm missing some kind of tactic here.

"If you've just unpaused and found Rae1 then pause and try again." I LOVE this. Not only because it's a cool line but because it shows why what you might think is a good move isn't, which is a difficult thing for me personally. I always wonder "why is my move bad!" but rarely find out.

I really liked the game. A lot of cool ideas there and I feel like it was really instructive.

I truly enjoyed this video,

I play the najdorf myself, i prefer the e6 set ups, for the simple reason i like to developpe my pieces before opening the game...

I enjoyed the Nh4 idea a lot! Reminded me of a game dennis played (in a different sicilian.)

About the move Qa3, i made the same sound as your opponent did :0). The move Nh6 must have been played with a lot of confidence, must have been difficult to calculate all the continuations.

I really hope to hear and see more of your games,

Wish you all the best!

Welcome to CV.TV Josh!

Q-R3, Q-R3 and Q-R3 sometimes descriptive should be used! Damn that was cool! Loved the tactics especially against someone whom I've seen play some wonderful defensive games.

I like the Najdorf from both sides, I usually prefer 6.Bg5 as White, but now I'm going to look into the f4 lines, thanks.

It's funny, when I saw the title "The Initiative" I just naturally assumed it was a Sicilian

Looking forward to more presentations when you get the time!

"I wouldn't call this a brilliancy"

Yeah...I would. That's one of the greatest attacks I've seen in a while. Hope to see more lectures from you soon. :D

Very nice game and nice entertaining lecture. Josh always gives great lectures (I've seen some on other sites).

As mentioned by the admin, the sound cut out after about 10 minutes and many sentences were hard to understand with words missing.

Also the squares on the board aren't square! The board is kind of squished vertically, which for some reason made it hard for me to find the moves when Josh said "Pause". At least that's my excuse for not finding the moves :)
