 Re: kamus - kamus-estrass [34:19]
Sorry about the beginning- I thought I cut it out. You can fast forward to the three minute mark and skip me wasting time while trying to get the white pieces.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game despite missing 22.Bg7 mate and collapsing horribly at the end. It was heartbreaking to come so close but Estrass maintained his cool and blitzed me out at the end. The better player won, though the little guy came darn close (arrgh!) -I believe Hitchhiker and Bkildahl made videos too that I'm sure they'll link too. Thanks and congratulations to estrass for a good game.

Interesting, the lines you were thinking about and the lines I was thinking about were quite different. Really a shame you missed that mate in one, you played a great game up to that point.
By the way, how can you upload so fast? At the moment I get a 10h prediction from the uploader. Are you using a special file type for these vids?

My video size is approx. 54MB. I use a special upload script for my mac that admin was kind enough to write for me/mac users. What size is your completed video? The type is QT movie (.mov). I appreciate you watching the game- I look forward to your video. Danke schön!

 Re: kamus - kamus-estrass [34:19]
350mb. That wouldn't be the problem, but the upload programm only uses 1/10 of my upload capacity, resulting in something I wouldn't call speed. Maybe I'll try and find a device to record in .mov. Thanks for playing the game, it was certainly entertaining :D .

I'm betting size has at least a little to do with it. I believe that my capture program uses H.264 compression- you might try another codec. Also, Bkildahl's video can be found here: viewtopic.php?t=5159

 Re: kamus - kamus-estrass [34:19]
Good game! I wouldn't say I'm the better player... our ratings are pretty similar and you completely outplayed me. A swindle in a time scramble is the worst way to win. You kept suggesting a Nd5 move around move 19 and then a little later. Was that a knight sac? or did I have a way to win it back? After I allowed Ng5 the only way to get out of mate or losing all my pieces that I saw was to sac the exchange but now i see that that was losing too...
Also, I didn't take your 1152 rating seriously... I saw that you had only played one game and that your USCF rating was 1600-1800. I would've been fine with a draw seeing as I had black.

Hey, nice game! Too bad about missing that mate, you moved a little too quick there. Other than that you played very good. You're definitely better than 1150. :D

Nice game. I am fascinated how you are able to continuously talk and still keep up playing well  Going to watch the observer commentaries now :D

 Re: kamus - kamus-estrass [34:19]
Hey estrass, Nd5 was an option when your rook was on d8 but not later after it wasn't there anymore although I was talking about Nd5 later as if it still was- yet another error on my part :D
(hey what happened to the emoticons lately?)

 Re: kamus - kamus-estrass [34:19]
Yes- I am all too aware of this- actually there are at least two other videos of this game and only one other commentator noticed the mate in one, while I'm certainly a major dumbass, I am not alone :?
Thanks.
