Thanks Dennis, you opened my eyes to many new possibilities from both sides in this video and I can't wait to try them out. Still, I look forward to your presentation on the main line with g2-g4.

Sorry your computer was giving you fits. I have no idea what was going on as I've never seen that happen before.

Danger, Will Robinson, Danger. As was pointed out to me by Michael Yeo by email through my blog, one of my suggested novelties has a hole in it. After 10.Bd3 b5 11.Rhe1 Bb7 12.Qg3 Nh5(N) White plays 13.Qe3, and if Black repeats with 13...Nhf6 14.Nd5 gives White a clear edge or more in every line. So Black needs to stick with 12...b4, and after 13.Nd5 exd5 14.exd5 Kd8 15.Nc6+ Bxc6 16.dxc6 Nc5 17.Bh4 Rg8 - which I mentioned in the presentation, I think I can show that White is in fact *not* slightly better here.

I'll discuss all of this in some detail in the next show, but I wanted to warn people now. Thanks, Mr. Yeo!

Yep, I looked at that line with 14.Nd5 and I have to agree, I like White there. Just goes to show you all of the tricky resources in the Najdorf.

Thanks for the update.
