Re: Calm - L0: WB vs Fuzion [19:23]
OK, so if you dont make it to the end of this, this was just a vid that was basically asking for feedback saying:
'ive finished uni now and will eventually have some free time, curtains + zibbit havent been making many 5 min blitz commentaries recently, so should I make some?, if you dont want me to do that is there anything else you would like me to do in place of it? I am obviously not as good as those guys, but I would still probably hover around the 2200-2300 mark for the 5 min pool, (assuming making the commentary doesnt affect me too badly), so let me know what you think'
kthxbye

Please, make videos. Any kind of videos. I am in full bore curtains withdrawl here. Your videos are like cutting cocaine with laundry detergent. Not as pure genius, but still pretty awesome and it gets the job done. Ok, since I am making no sense, I shall bow out gracefully now. <bows and walks slowly backwards>

Hi,
Enjoyed the 2 games.
Which openings are you interested in preparing for your OTB play?
Personally, I would be most interested in positionally oriented games. Maybe 1. d4? Anyway, thank you for the video.

Funny story, I got put on the abuser list on fics for asking if I could buy some drugs off one of the admins (as a joke ldo). He didn't find it as funny, and I still have to wait till mid september to get off it

Re: Calm - L0: WB vs Fuzion [19:23]
I think im a stronger tactical than positional player. I can certainly play both reasonably, but I think ideally I would be trying to find some tactical yet non mainline theory lines, which, as white is probably going to suit e4. I may just try everything for a bit though and see what works.

Re: Calm - L0: WB vs Fuzion [19:23]
Another really thoughtful and engaging commentary even with just 5 minutes to play all your moves. In response to your question, it would be great to have lots more of your live commentaries on the site. Please keep them coming! Just as a matter of interest, you mentioned 1.B3 in one of your early videos and I was wondering whether this is an opening you rate as white? I've occasionally played 1.B4 but I guess 1.B3 is better (?) Anyway, thanks again for another great video!

Re: Calm - L0: WB vs Fuzion [19:23]
its definitely not terrible, although in terms of real critical evaluations its not going to offer the same kind of advantage for white as openings such as e4 or d4 in the 'main' lines. I will play it next white vid I do to describe it briefly although I only played it in one kind of 'opening tourney' or whatever they are called where they play the 1st move for you at a club I went to ages ago. The thing with b4 is that its mainly a kind of tricky opening aiming to get the central pawn for the wing pawn and like a load of pressure along that b2 diagonal, but even in that case you can only get to an aggressive kind of setup if black decides to take it, and quite often he wont in which case b4 can sometimes look like a weakness even after a3 as it basically means you can never really castle queenside so it just takes away options. I would say the same about 1 g4 although I've definitely lost to both before. If I played it I would want to use it mainly as a surprise or blitz weapon and have something more 'concrete' for games where I'm playing someone I think im better than and for longplay games.

*cough* To me this seems to be a preparation for an in advance excuse for not being able to defend your title in the next cvtv tourney It's quite amusing nonetheless
