Thanks for the vid Rateodoro, very enjoyable to watch. I think we need more videos like this on cvtv, and by that i mean opening vids that talk about the ideas and plans of an opening rather than just going through what the "book" moves are without giving any real explanation to why those moves are considered best.

Hey good video. I play the French myself although this is one of the lines I've played the least. Still this is a typical French line in the sense that you can beat your opponent almost only on better knowledge and understanding of the position as it can become very strategical. Great video and only a small tactical mistake that I noticed (black could take on c1 a rook in one position) but I know you noticed that yourself afterwards.

Re: rateodoro - French Defence - Plays to Win! [29:19]
Hello Zibbit! Thanks for your words and feedback! This is in my oppinion a sound, good line for black. Strategical ideas are very much important and black can outplay white playing actively. Unfortunatelly I should take in c8 before to capture on e2. I've noticed that after I posted the video My apologies! Next time I will try to watch my boring videos before to submit :/ I'm a great fan of your videos, I'm always learning a little more about chess watching you explanning games and moves and you're ( as many other great chess players here ) true inspiration for myself! Again, thanks a lot for your attention! Gens una sumus! Rodrigo

Small mistakes always creep up, don't worry about it. I've had plenty of semi-embarassing misses myself. Keep posting, we need more interesting and good videos like this one.
