Lot's of interesting ideas here. I usually play the Byrne system against the Samisch, but after you have shown some of the theory here, I may switch over to the ...c5 lines. It means relearning this system and getting in touch with recent theory, but it seems like it might be well worth the time.
Thanks for your hard work on these videos, very much appreciated!

That's a good question! Renier, do you have any experience with this sac line? I played it once with Black against an A player, I only managed a draw and I sort of felt like a fish out of water. Maybe you can cover this in a video sometime and explain the theory since you did a good job with this video. Then again, maybe you have some other line you prefer, and that would be worth looking at as well. TIA

Re: IM Renier C.: KID Samisch Explained [44:03]
Hey guys, I've been reading your comments but was a little busy to answer earlier. The c5 line in general is considered sound, it's probably the line wheere white strugles the most to get an edge and even when this happens, it's difficult to hold back black's counterplay.
dxc5 is cold water yes, I might do one video of it but since it's not too critical it won't be coming soon, there are many games, several ways to play and I believe that black has good play. Like Masterkiller mentioned, Gelfand has several games in this variation, Shirov too.
New video coming up this weekend, best regards Renier

I just noticed that Larry Christiansen covered this game on ICC for 'Attack with LarryC'. Renier, I have to give you mad props on your presentation, it is much better than Larry's version in my opinion.

Re: IM Renier C.: KID Samisch Explained [44:03]
very nice video I should have mentioned.
I was wondering are there any big differences between the be3 and bg5 lines, all I know about this type of position is some games on ICC where I play be3, qd2, nge2 and keep the pawn on d4 for a while, and sometime i play nc1 to b3 to try to maintain control over d4.
