Hmmm, the Byrne Variation is edging itself up on my list a little higher. Personally, I like he ...c6 and ...b5 set-up as in the game here, so why not do it much earlier as in the Byrne.
I didn't hear it in the video, or maybe I missed it, but what is your favorite way of dealing with the Saemisch now that the g4 line is becoming more topical these days?
By the way, you are quite correct, at least from my experience, when you say that in the King's Indian white often has ways to defend but the complications are often so great that mistakes are made. I think this is partly psychological as well; all game long White is making his plans and enjoying more space, then here comes Black with his own evil intentions, and it is hard for some playing White to completely switch gears from offense to defense.

Hi Steve, im not sure by the names wich variations you mean, as far as i'm concerned the line played in this game is called or known as the 'Pinter' variation, because of his great success with it, let me know exactly wich lines you're talking about and I'll give you an answer.
