Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
This was a correspondence game in an Ulvested theme tournament over on chess.com. Everything up to 5...b5 was set up by the computer and only moves 6-10 were actually played. It was all book up to 9.Qf3 when my opponent came up with a novelty... 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nf6 4.Ng5 d5 5.exd5 b5 {Thematic Game - This is the starting position.} 6.Bf1 Nxd5 7.Bxb5 Bd7 8.Qh5 g6 9.Qf3 Nce7 10.Qxf7# 1-0

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
not as impressive as fox's games but at my level, not to bad. maybe an unwise sac but took advantage when I could and went full on tactical attack.

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
nice. if f6 an actual opening for black? or was he more drunk than you?
i see you in Schaumburg. i am south(alsip) but maybe if you have nothing to do at the same time as me maybe we can hook up for a game. when i am even back in town that is, lots of work related travel.

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
2 .. f6 has been known to lose a pawn for several hundred years, its named after a 16th or 17th century priest/monk who analyzed it, poor guy. Black loses the game by force if he takes the knight.
And I'd love to play a game, but my schedule this summer is rather busy and then its back to DeKalb for school in the fall.

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
f6... it is an opening, after Nxe5, my opponent usually plays Qe7, and i have no idea how to continue... i think i check him on h5 with the queen.

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 f6 3. Nxe5 is good, but after 3. ... Qe7 don't play 4. Qh5+, because 4. ... g6 5. Nxg6 Qxe4+! wins for black. You should just go 4. Nf3 or 4. Nc4 and let black take back the pawn on e4. White is still better because he can develop with tempo, kicking the queen around.
