Re: sfarmer29 - USCL Week 2 AZ vs Seattle [81:21]
In this video I jump from game to game pretty much as the progressed on that night so the viewer can get a feel for the tension of Team-Match play.
Also, I am learning a new video editing program and am messing around with different ideas. There is a new look in this video and I'd like your opinion if you prefer the 3D look or the regular 2D look that is so common in chess videos.
Enjoy!

Re: sfarmer29 - USCL Week 2 AZ vs Seattle [81:21]
3D looks better than i expected, but i would have to say i still prefer the 2D. The bishops in particular look a bit odd in the 3D iMO.
Also, if there's any way to condense these down somewhat in length , i would be able to watch the whole thing rather than just the first 20 minutes or so which i find is all i have time for until a phone rings or i have to eat/sleep or something else comes up. :-D Other viewers might be in the same situation as far as the length goes.
Length is particularly an issue since as "non-premium" member i cannot skip to a time-stamp in the video. So i'd have to try to watch the whole thing in one sitting which is usually not possible, unfortunately.

Re: sfarmer29 - USCL Week 2 AZ vs Seattle [81:21]
With regards to the 3D I wasn't happy that the highlight arrows didn't show up well, for that I prefer the 2D board. Good point about the length that I never consdiered, non-premium viewers have to wait for the full d/l. Suggestion noted and I will do future USCL videos one game at a time so that none of them should be longer than 25-30 minutes. Thanks for pointing that out Katar!

Was one of the games played in the parking lot of a mini-mall?

3-D didn't bother me, interesting switch...but I guess I'd prefer 2D most of the time.

That 3D board with some nice backgrounds is really neat eye candy. I like it. Not sure if I really prefer 2D but I find 2D easier to follow...so I guess 2D is a bit "better" :D
Awesome that you cover the USCL again ! *thumbs up*

Re: sfarmer29 - USCL Week 2 AZ vs Seattle [81:21]
i prefer 2D because the pieces will have the same size :) 3D is certainly interesting, because "you are playing over the board". But i just sometimes have the problem can't recognize the squares immediately in 3D. and i would like to see more arrows over the board, in 2D, but not 3D because if you do it in 3D, it gets really messy, so this is the third reason of having 2D, so you could do more drawings :p

Ah! You all know how I love to draw them little arrows. Okay, enough of the experiment, 2D it will be! It was fun for a change though. I'm just having fun with my new video program and playing with the pencils on the table marked "Group W".
