Post A fun idea against a4 - anti-marshal

8. a4... Sadness, why dont you play c3 :(
8..b4 I better lock things up. This is played but rearly.

9.c3?? d3 is played here to get the knight out and to solidify the center.

9..d5 Here I decided to do the marshal like attack even tho it is not supposed to work after a4.

10.exd5. Ok, I thought here I will drop a pawn but will cook up some really active play on the king side.

11.Bxd5? Well ok he does not want my pawn but insead giving me a bishop pair. Ok I will take it. No marshal like attacks for me.

12.d4 why?

17. Kg2 Nh4+ Ok I am very happy now.

Hi Ayleid

I know this line a bit, since I play it as white. Here are some thoughts:
c3 doesn't deserve the double question mark, it's a fully playable line. Although I prefer d3 here.

You are right about Bxd5? this was horrible on white's part

I think that 14. ...Nxe5 is a better move. Keeping the bishop pair and later doubling white's pawns with the knight

cheers
