Proud Daddy Alert!

My 7 year old daughter, Ariel played this game last night- her Chess as well as that of her 9 year old sister has really improved lately. Here she played a virtually flawless (well, for a 7 year old) attack against an older boy whose play wasn't quite as flawless. She'll be thrilled that her game ended up here in the "gallery of greats". :)

Well-played!!

Very proud of this one as it came in a 45/45 game against a higher rated opponent! The Vienna Gambit is very powerful against an unprepared opponent!

Very nice- reminds me that I need to review Katar's line against the Vienna Gambit!

Nice game, Sarciness. Also, congrats kamus, your daughter played very well. Looking forward to her next attack.

Great- I loved Nxd5+ and Qf6+- so satisfying to play such moves. Well done, sir!

BTW, are you a pianist by any chance?

Thanks kamus, and nope. :( I gave up learning an instrument some time ago (first the guitar, then the piano).

Played some stupid blitz tonight, like morphine for the brain. Crushed a decent player in a King's Gambit. I kinda like the plan of avoiding Nxd5 and instead using c7-c6 to develop fast.
