Re: ***** Tourney VI Games *****
Good game guys! Very agressive play by Kamus. I'll give it a proper look over with some annotations tommorrow.

Re: ***** Tourney VI Games *****
just wondering, in the Detroitman vs Kamus game, the bishop is checking black's king for the last few moves the whole time, is that a glitch or something? because black was in check after 13...Ndf6 and i think you meant Ngf6, hope you can fix it

Re: ***** Tourney VI Games *****
The same problem occured with 6.Nge2. FICS PGN only gave 6.Ne2 and 13...Nf6 which are ambiguous moves if you don't realize that one of the knights is pinned - which the replayer doesn't ^^ Was able to spot 6.Ne2 and correct it to 6.Nge2 in time before anyone recognized it but 13....Nf6 slipped my attention Fixed that now to 13...Ngf6

I love watching all the videos from this tournament.
The bragging rights make the games really intense, but the well mannered chessvideos.tv members keep it friendly.

Re: ***** Tourney VI Games *****
We're still trying to schedule as I'm traveling all this week with a brutal performance schedule- possibly tues night- fortunately in the RR, this although inconvenient, shouldn't mess pairings up too much. Sorry for the delay.

Re: ***** Tourney VI Games *****
1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 d6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nf6 5. Nc3 g6 6. Be3 Bg7 7. f3 O-O 8. Qd2 Nc6 9. O-O-O d5 10. exd5 Nxd5 11. Nxc6 bxc6 12. Nxd5 cxd5 13. Qxd5 Qc7 14. Qc5 Qb7 15. Qa3 Rb8 16. c3 Bf5 17. Ba6 Qc6 18. Rhe1 Bxc3 (18... Rxb2 19. Kxb2 (19. Qxb2 Bxc3 20. Qa3 Bb4+ 21. Kb2 Qc2+ 22. Ka1 Bc3+ 23. Qxc3 Qxc3#) 19... Rb8+ 20. Kc1 Bxc3 (20... Rb1+ 21. Kd2)) 19. bxc3 Qxa6 20. Qxa6 Rb1+ 21. Kd2 Rb2+ 22. Kc1 Rb1+ {Game drawn by mutual agreement} 1/2-1/2
Unfortunately I missed the shot Rxb2. I saw that it was a possibility but I didn't see the follow up idea with Bxc3 instead of Rb1+. After Rb1+ the king escapes and 1-0 as far as I can tell. Probably I should have spent longer trying to find something here, but I was black against one of the higher rated players in the tourney, didn't play so much the past couple of weeks and I saw the idea Bxc3 followed up by the queen sac and just went for it. Now I wish I wasn't so lazy, but I'm still happy with the result.

Re: ***** Tourney VI Games *****
kamus vs moejoe It's painful to post this! At least the Tayler variation came out OK. Moejoe made a speculative but unsound sac- Steve Farmer thought he had other more promising possibilities in that particular position. Then later he hung his rook but instead of taking I made a horrendous game-losing blunder and he finished me off quite efficiently for a well-deserved point.
