Re: Zibbit - Moving up the ranks #8 [21:47]
My worst games in this series so far. So bad that I wouldn't dream of making this PPV! Was 25-0 before these two.
Game 26: London. I blunder a pawn in the opening and then I miss so so so many things it's almost embarassing, Nd7 fork, Rxh6 at some point, Qxe3 instead of Rxe3 etc...
Game 27: Exchange Spanish: My knowledge is not good here and it shows early. Very soon I don't know what I am doing.
Sloppy games but hopefully we'll pick it up and also have a look at some openings in future videos in this series.

Re: Zibbit - Moving up the ranks #8 [21:47]
Maybe there was some sloppy moves but I still liked the video. One area of my game I have a hard time with is forming plans in unfamiliar positions. I actually played the same system you played as white recently and ran into the same problem of not having a plan. Your solution might not have been ideal (making small improving moves) but it was better than what I tried so I still learned something from it. What do you usually do in positions where you don't have a plan?

Well then, you'll be happy to know that you could have played Qxe3 instead of.... wait... you were being sarcastic, weren't you? hehe Still, I really like this series, it's not easy for an IM to try and approach the game with totally 'fresh' eyes and climb the ladder all over again.

Re: Zibbit - Moving up the ranks #8 [21:47]
Thanks for the video! Any idea what White is supposed to do in the London system if Black goes for that plan with a quick c5, Nc6, Qb6? You mentioned playing c3 before h3, is that pretty much all there is to it?

Thank you, thank you. Did some commentary with Bjorn and GM Simon Williams for the Reykjavik Open, was a fun and interesting experience.
