Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
Sorry for your loss.
After 4...g5?! 5. d4! was indicated following the well-known principle "an action on the flank should be countered by an action in the center" Play could continue: 5...g4?! 6. Ne1 exd4 (otherwise White takes on e5, exchanges queens and Black has poor development and endgame weaknesses) 7.Qxd4 and Black has no time for Nc6 as the rook on h8 is hanging. 7...Bf6 8. Qd5 and now it's Black who is defending with a horribly weakened k-side. Every loss provides an important lesson and so it's unlikely you'll be caught out like this again. Good luck!

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
14 move checkmate with Black !
I took a risk by allowing 12. Qd6!, but figured that he wouldn't spot it.

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
Very happy with my play (as black) in this 5-min game.

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
Wow, yeah, 17...f5 was a dreadful move. Never expected a 20-move checkmate from that opening! Was the initial sac sound do you know?

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
Yea =D 16. Nh5+ is actually sound. Fritz doesn't capture the piece and is fine but taking wins for white. It seems that the sac 16. Nhf5+ is more dangerous....Fritz gives +1.5 here. Typical blitz inaccuracy

19...Rb8 was of course suboptimal but even after ....e6 white is much better. Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
Wow, very interesting! Not come across this gambit before.Seems to me that black went pawn grabbing crazy and paid the price. I'm not sure if I like Qxc3. What about just Ne5 and dxe? Black will play d5 eventually to undouble his pawns and have a nice centre, and the black queen is less exposed. White has compensation, but going for a second then third pawn is just crazy. (Taking the second pawn is maybe okay in principle but it leaves the black queen in such a position that gobbling up a third is basically forced...that's why I don't like Qxc3).

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
This variation is "in for a penny, in for a pound" after 4...Nxe4. Black's first chance to vary is 9...Nd7 (instead of Ne5) but this line doesn't hold up much better than the Ne5 variant. Check out my video on the Be2 Sicilian for more details.

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
Can't believe a 1625 player would play such a horrible move such as 5.fxe5. You would think someone who played the Kings Gambit would be well aware of this motif. Yay, the Falkbeer Countergambit!

Re: Checkmates in 20 moves or less
@Kamus above, I've had that same 9 move win at least 10 times in blitz!
