Watching this analysis and a few others, I've come to notice something about your style of play that took me a while to put my finger on. I can see why you'd be good at poker... Sometimes your chess moves have a very poker type of spirit to them. If you see you're not better in a position, you don't always play what you know are the best moves. It seems like you always have in mind the human aspect of the game and what moves give you the best chances, regardless of the technicalities of the position. Every chess player has a little bit of that, but you seem to have a heightened sense of it.

Nice save. I really liked f5. In two out of my last three tournament games I saved pretty dire situations by just doing everything I could to ensure that all of my pieces were actually working, even if I had to make some concessions to do so - and I ended up with 1.5 points instead of 0. So it's nice to see an IM do the same.
