First ever game vs an IM
Yea, I just barely survived the opening and had a totally lost ending. I think he could have just taken the b-pawn in the beginning.

Re: First ever game vs an IM
What was the time limit? You were pretty much up against it due to the opening, after 7.f4?! it was tough. Still, I think the losing move was 17.fxe6 which is a positional blunder. Against two bishops, you should keep the pawns fixed, and due to the black king position keep the tension. Think about it, in what way would it benefit black to change the pawn structure? Too dangerous.

Re: First ever game vs an IM
The chance to play an I.M. for 3 minutes is like getting a model to say 'Hi' to you while passing on the sidewalk -- you will tell your friends about it but you hoped for so much more.

Well played. I find it impresive how masters dont even hesitate to trade down when they think they are better.

Re: First ever game vs an IM
Seemed like you were doing fine until you started giving pawns away in the 20s.
