This video is hilarious. First, I'm learning to play the Nimzo-Indian, so that part was very instructive, but the rest was just good fun. The way you shake the rooks is side-splitting. The cell phone call, the blunder, it's all just great. Awesome!

Welcome to the forum Curtains
Great video, I really enjoyed it . Especially those moments where you discuss the practical side of handling it and making your opponent work hard. I would love to see more of your analysis, especially with longer time controls
what about 16. ...h4? I thought you would go for this or is there something I am missing? If the takes your knight Bxh3 is a killer. It also makes his pawns isolated and easier to attack.
You can change the region on the screen you want to record so that only the board would be visible for viewers. I think this would a bit more comfortable
Thanksa again and keep those videos coming!

Nice video.. thanks for sharing.
The game itself was rather interesting... interesting tactics available. It was nice to see a video where you actually saw some stuff while you filmed instead of something uberpolished.
Please post more.

Thanks for the comments. In general I prefer unpolished stuff, keeps it much more honest and you get to see how I actually think, because I have to think while recording. Also it's much easier since I don't have to do any preparation. I'll probably do a few more of these, whenever I play a blitz game. Even in something seemingly silly like blitz games, there are always a lesson or two to be learned. I'll also set it so only the board is visible in the future.
I also am unlikely to record slower games, because I'm very lazy and just want to play blitz. Sometimes it's better to look at speed games, because the games are more accessible, since obviously we don't play like huge geniuses in 5 minute chess. However I do play reasonably enough, even at 5 0, and there are always lessons to be learned that can transfer over to slower games (Such as the opening stuff, and this strange ....h4 idea that was suggested).
About 16....h4, maybe its good but ok very tough to see in a blitz game, especially since ...Nh7 looks perfectly fine for me. ...h4 is the kind of move one look more at if there is no reasonable alternative. I'm talking more about speed chess, of course in a standard game you should always consider such moves if they look playable. However with 5 minutes on the clock, sometimes you will just miss things like this. Also white has lots of scary in between moves like Qb3, Qd4 etc etc, they probably don't really work, and the reasons may be really obvious, but it's hard to figure all of that out in 5 0 when it doesn't really make sense to spend 30-60 seconds on a move that doesn't win the game when you have a perfectly reasonable alternative. So it's one of those spots that even though it might be the objective best move, it's maybe not the best move for the situation. Sometimes just making "normal" moves over and over can make you a very dangerous player....as you see I was successful at this until I decided to go for some trick.
Anyway I think I managed to get a pretty good position, and honestly I think the final position is good for me if I don't blunder. This isn't based on any analysis or anything, just a feeling. Seems like white's king is a bit too loose, and the pressure on the queenside shouldn't fully compensate for it.

Yep I'm also another Nxg5 sucker - and I was so proud of myself too!
