I haven't seen this game in a long time. I love the old masters where play from pretty much move one was all in their creative genius.

You brought up an interesting point in this game, and my reaction was the same as yours, as White I would have taken on f6 but this game is a good illustration of how powerful the knight on d5 can be. Worthy of several viewings.

Good job!

I was really excited to see that after a year you've picked up this series again (I'm LinuxguyonFICS, BTW).

I don't believe that this opening variation with ...Bc6 sicilian-esque position is inferior for Black, although the ..Ne5 maneuver is interesting and not strictly necessary. Nevertheless, I don't believe that Black is weaker after a thematic exchange sac ...RxBc4, RxR Bc6 in the position where Bogolyubov tactically blundered with ...Nd4. It's as if he didn't understand the artistic idea behind his own position which he had created.

Also, if I saw this Worral right now in an OTB game, I would pop in ...Nd4 after Qe2 and be quite pleased after Nxd4...exd4.

I hope that you continue this video series to the end! :-)
