That picture of elderly Siggi always reminds me of DalĂ and Scrooge McDuck, for some reason.

Anyway, a pity this series is ending soon.

Wow, ...Kh8, I was thinking ...Kh7. Along with Tarrasch, add me to the list of people who missed Spielmann's attack hehe. Very instructional. Thank you for another great video Katar, and very funny caption! :-)

BTW, I think that quite a few decisive games at the turn of the 20th century ended in that manner, with one side missing a counter-tactic. This era of games can have a very "club-like" feel to them, but it also makes them more useful for the club player to have a look at. And then came Botvinnik, the Romantic Era's chessic equivalent of "the party crasher". ;-p

Was searching for some info on the Tarrasch Defence and came across this old gem!

I did try and got the exercise wrong :( Tried Be4, blocking the e3 pawn and setting up the queen fork if white takes the bishop. I did see the refutation for Kg7, which was my inital thought and I refuted the try Kh7 too. Didn't think of Kh8 and simply wasn't thorough enough to get the correct solution.
